Shipping Cyprus Food and Drinks to the UK
The UK is home to one of the largest Cypriot communities in the world, and it is our second biggest destination. We send parcels to England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland every week. This page explains how shipping works, how long it takes, and how customs works since Brexit.
How shipping is priced
Postage is based on the total weight of your parcel and is calculated automatically at checkout. Add the items you want to your cart, go to checkout and enter your address. You will see every available service and its price before you pay, from economical postal services to fast express couriers.
The first kilos are the expensive ones. After that the price rises slowly, so a fuller box is far better value per item. Many of our UK regulars order a few times a year and stock up.
How long delivery takes
- Processing: 1 to 2 working days before dispatch.
- UPS Saver: around 2 working days.
- EMS Express: 4 to 5 working days.
- Cyprus Post and Registered Post: usually 5 to 10 working days.
These are estimates. International post can slow down around Christmas and during customs checks. Every parcel is sent with tracking.
UK customs, VAT and duty
Since Brexit, parcels from Cyprus to Great Britain are treated as imports. Our prices do not include UK charges. Depending on the value and contents of your order, you may be asked to pay import VAT, customs duty, and excise duty on alcohol, plus a handling fee from the delivery company, before your parcel is released. Rules and thresholds are set by HMRC and can change, so please check the current guidance on gov.uk if you are unsure.
Can you ship alcohol to the UK?
Yes. We regularly send Zivania, Commandaria, Cypriot wine and liqueurs to UK addresses. The recipient must be 18 or over, and UK excise duty and VAT apply to alcohol. Bottles are individually wrapped and boxed.

Tips for a good-value order
- Light orders can travel by Registered Post, the most economical service. A box of crisps, sweets and coffee often qualifies.
- A 750 ml bottle weighs about 1.3 kg packed. Two or three bottles in one parcel cost much less per bottle than one.
- Halloumi and other chilled items travel by express courier in a cool box. Contact us before ordering.
